Transmition Electron Microscope HT7700 (Hitachi High-Tech, Japan)

Hitachi High-Technologies Corporation (TOKYO:8036)(Hitachi High-Tech) has announced the development and release of the HT7700, a new type of transmission electron microscope (TEM)(*) that integrates previously complex system operation onto a single monitor screen, and allows for sample observation even under normal room light conditions.

Confocal Lazer Microscope System (Tokyo Instruments, Japan)

Confocal microscopy offers a number of advantages when compared with traditional widefield optical microscopy. Confocal systems occlude out-of-focus light, vastly improving imaging contrast. By minimizing the haze of out-of-focus light and flare, they help the researcher view phenomena and structures not distinguishable under non-confocal conditions, particularly when using fluorescence imaging.
